Project RISE (Realizing Individual Strength through Education) is a federally-funded, collaborative effort of Akron Public Schools, local shelters and the community to provide supplemental educational services to children and youth who are experiencing homelessness. Project RISE served more than 1,200 APS students during the 2012-13 school year.
